Domestic Abuse Toolkit, NHS Lothian
Scottish Executive guidance broadly indicates how staff should respond to domestic abuse. But how should staff put this into daily practice? And how can complex information be presented in a way that’s easy to read and user friendly? I researched the literature, asked staff what they found difficult, and worked with a group of health personnel to pull together tools for good practice in primary care. The tookit is now in its second edition and has been extended to cover all settings.
